Beneath It all

A documentary I produced, shot, edited and directed inspired by my own struggle with wearing makeup and intrigue with how society views it

Working on this documentary was very cathartic for me. I enjoyed expressing my own thoughts about a subject and showing personal character growth, while interviewing other people too see their opinions on the topic. I worked hard to interview a variety of people who all have different experiences with makeup and found in fascinating to explore these.

Producing this documentary taught me a lot about logistics and time management as well as technicalities that go into filming and editing a project such as this. It also showed me a lot about how to interview people so as to solicit the best and most rich responses from them, while still portraying them accurately and fairly in the final edit.
