BCU SU Election

I was the production manager for the live studio broadcast of the Birmingham City University Student Union Election.

I was heavily involved in the production for the election, I was there both in my capacity as production manager and also as the secretary for the First Take Film Society who were filming the election.

Everyone involved took the filming of this very seriously as the student union election is very important to a lot of people at the university - candidates campaign for months. Therefore there was a lot of pressure to put on a good show.

My Responsibilities included:

• Producing and distributing call sheets

• Scheduling the day

• Prepping the candidates on what to do

• Time keeping

• Blocking out the show

• Camera Script

Being a part of a live studio production was extremely exciting. I loved the feeling that what I was doing was directly helping the show be created, the thrill of the live element of the show was exhilarating and it was so satisfying to see everybody's hard work come to fruition!
